Join with some Vine and Branches Volunteers to serve a long-term partnership in Villalba. This trip will be made up of Puerto Ricans from other parts of the island along with several people from the states to run a weeklong Vacation Bible School for First Baptist Church Villalba.

This is a unique opportunity to actually come along side Puerto Ricans and to serve together as fellow team members. The goal of this trip is to help First Baptist Villalba as they re-launch their church, but also to disciple and train Puerto Ricans to serve their own island. We will be accepting a very few participants from the mainland United States. Sign up using the form at the bottom of the page, but in order to officially guarantee you a spot a $100 deposit needs to be mailed to the mission office.
Totally island cost is $300 per person which covers transportation once on the island, housing, food, and ministry supplies. Airfare to the island is not included. You may choose to fly into either San Juan International Airport or Ponce Airport.

On Arrival Vine and Branches staff will greet you at the airport and either wait for others to arrive or immediately take you to Villalba to the church.

Home away from Home
We will be staying and eating all week at the First Baptist Church Villalba. We will be sleeping on the floor so you may either want to ship ahead of time a air mattress to the Mission office or bring one with you.

One of the biggest reasons for Vine and Branches to put on this trip, is because of the man pictured with Lance. Pastor Isai is an amazing, humble man of God. He is the founding Pastor of the church here in Villalba, but due to a health scare step away from the pulpit for a while. Now Pastor is back, and he is ready to reach Villalba with the love of Christ. I am so excited that you are interested in the extremely unique opportunity we are offering this year. Ever since Vine and Branches was created back in 2020 two of our key pillars have been to help the local church reach out to their community, and for discipleship. With this trip we hope to build relationships with the community and use this as a kick start to provide monthly Kids Clubs and also special Family nights for the community of Villalba.

Overview
  • Monday-Thursday
    Our schedule will be pretty much the same daily. We will do VBS in the mornings and in the afternoons we will do some kind of light work project either at the church or in the community depending on the need.
  • Friday
    Is going to be a very special day. We will have VBS for the kids in the morning, enjoy some sightseeing in the afternoon. Then in the evening we are going to have a hotdog dinner for the community to come out and get to know the church. More details plans are coming for Friday night.
  • Saturday
    We will pack up and our stateside team members will go with a Vine and Branches employee back to the airport. Locals will be heading back to their homes.
Cost of the Trip
The island cost for the trip is $300, this includes the $100 deposit that is due ASAP to reserve your spot. Again there are only a few spots for stateside people, once they are filled there will be no more accepted. After you pay your $100 per person deposit, the remaining $200 is due by June 10. Due to paypal guidelines and IRS rules, all money for trips must be sent to the Vine and Branches Office. PO Box 5043 Aguadilla, PR 00605.
Airfare must be purchased on your own and you may use either San Juan International Airport or Ponce Airport. Once flights are booked you must give flight information to Vine and Branches so we can arrange transportation.
